The Fayetteville Natural Heritage Association has been recognized regionally and nationally with an Organization Citation by the Southwest Region National Recreation and Parks Association, was nominated by the League of Women Voters Washington County (and won first place in the Innovation category) for the ADEQ’s Environmental Stewardship award known as the Envy Award, and we’ve had our mission endorsed by the Highlands Chapter of the Ozark Society, Arkansas’ oldest conservation organization. In addition we received the Honorable Mention for Home Depot Foundation Awards of Excellence for Community Trees which resulted in being invited by the Home Depot Foundation to attend the November 2007 National Urban Forest Conference held in Baltimore and give a presentation highlighting our project. The conference was sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation. We were selected as a finalist in the Home Depot Foundation Awards of Excellence for Community Trees 2008.
FNHA has been able to contribute to conserving natural areas totaling over 500 acres in Fayetteville because of your support, and we greatly appreciate each and every member and contribution
